Inspired by a true story, this feel-good Indian film follows a group of Bollywood superfans making their own movies with a cheeky but admirable DIY ethos. Malegaon is only six hours driving distance from Mumbai, the filmmaking capital of India. For Nasir Shaikh, one of the city’s residents who pretty much eats, sleeps and dreams movies, Bollywood is a distant yet alluring dream. However, inspired to make something for the people of Malegaon, Nasir sets out to make a film by the people of Malegaon. He bands together his ragtag group of friends to bring his vision to life, thereby bringing a fresh lease of life into the town.
