LIVE JAZZ CONCERT FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
Join us for the celebration of International Women's Day at ActOne Cinema with live music by three jazz female musicians:
Anita Łazińska: Piano, vocals
Marta Mathea Radwan: Vocals
Irene Romero: Double bass
They will perform jazz standards and original songs about women, written by women or performed by women.
Anita Lazinska is a vocalist, pianist, and composer, graduate of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, Poland. She has participated in many projects such as the All Souls’ Day Jazz Festival in London, Voicingers on Tour and the WąbJazzno Festival, and she is a member of several groups: Anita Lazinska Quartet, Wild Whispers, Muze Voices.
Dr Marta Mathea Radwan is a Polish conductor, vocalist, composer, arranger, music director, and workshop leader based in London. Marta has worked in studio recording and live stage performance for over 30 years, as a singer, conductor, and music director and has composed and arranged for jazz ensembles, choirs, contemporary ballet, and commercial advertising. Currently she is a vocal tutor and ensemble leader at Brunel University London and conducts several choirs, among others the a cappella Offbeat Choir at ActOne. More informations on www.mmradwan.com
Irene Romero is a full-time PhD philosophy student and a part-time jazz bassist. Since 2020, she has been actively involved in various jazz projects, including performing at the Candás Jazz Festival with the Miguel Herrera Quartet. She also plays with the Fabadazz Band and has recorded with the Fernando Romero Trio in Tilburg, Netherlands.
