I AM MARTIN PARR + TALK WITH ANNA FOX

In collaboration with Ealing LIP (London Independent Photography), we are proud to be hosting the first of a series of events about photography. Join us after the film for an exciting talk and live Q&A by renowned British documentary photographer Anna Fox. Anna's talk will reflect the evolution of her career across a range of projects from her time as a former student of Martin Parr. Please note there are no ads and trailers before this screening, and the film will start at the advertised time. Icon. Artist. Disruptor. I Am Martin Parr celebrates the eccentric world of legendary photographer Martin Parr. Join this maverick on an intimate road trip across England in a heartwarming portrait of his life and art! Since the 1970s‚ Martin Parr has fearlessly held out his unique photographic mirror and given us some of the most extraordinary and unique visual clichés of modern times. Sometimes serious‚ often absurd but always playful‚ his insightful and often acrid commentary on consumer society has always been a subject of controversy and discussion. In retrospect, perhaps he was just observing what we often overlook... Lee Shulman’s engaging, highly entertaining film explores Parr’s humanist and uniquely accessible photographic language. British photographer Marin Parr’s images have the power to both amuse and leave us ever so slightly uncomfortable, caught between laughter and the uneasy recognition of ourselves in his uncompromising portrait of consumer society. About Ealing LIP (London Independent Photography) We are a group with members from across West London and welcome new people to join us from any background.
